Meet the dancers
ALLANA LORAINE
Director

Allana Loraine is a NYC-based dancer and choreographer dedicated to spreading the joy of dance and empowering the dancer in all of us. She began her studies in Flamenco and Modern Dance under Kati Garcia-Renart and Ryoko Kudo at Bard College at Simon’s Rock. Graduating from Simon’s Rock in 2019, Allana was awarded the Achievement in the Arts Prize for her artistry and leadership within the Dance Department.

 

After earning a Master’s in Dance Education from NYU Steinhardt, Allana began training with The Paul Taylor School Professional Division and the Limón Institute. In 2023, she joined the Kritya Dance Ensemble in the premiere of This Love Between Us at Worcester Mechanics Hall in Massachusetts.

​

Guided by the mentorship of Anabella Lenzu, Allana has begun to deepen her choreographic practice and develop new works with her emerging company, Metamorphosis.

VERENA LEE

Verena Lee (she/her) is a dancer, musician, and theater technician from the Bay Area. She received her B.A. in Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley in 2024. She has previously worked with Lenora Lee, Iu-Hui Chua, Sila Poe Charukesnant, Kinetech Arts, Smith/Wymore Disappearing Acts, and Gamelan Sekar Jaya.

 

Currently, she dances with Dharma Swara, a Balinese gamelan and dance group based in Queens, NY.

​

Her artistic interests lie in exploring the intersection between contemporary dance, music, and martial arts. You can find her on IG @verena_olivilee.

TYLER BRUNSON (she/her/they)

Growing up in New Jersey, Tyler Brunson began her dance career at the Asbury Park Technical Academy of Dance and the Ballet of Performing Arts Ensemble. Brunson was recruited into the Professional Trainee Program for the Joffrey Ballet School, and trained in their Jazz & Contemporary program, where she received her BFA in Dance. Brunson had continued her training at the Paul Taylor American Modern Dance School in their Taylor Teen Ensemble.

 

She has also trained and interned at the Limon Institute, joining Limon 2 in 2024. Tyler has worked with choreographers such as Nicole Von Arx, Fatima Logan-Alston, Rush Johnson, Angelica Stiskin, Shawn Rawls, and Beth Jucovy.

 

Tyler has performed across the East Coast at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Joyce Theater, Dixon Place, Hershey Park, and Disney World.

OLIVIA KLEVEN

Olivia Kleven is a freelance dancer and choreographer based in New York, working in contemporary, ballet, and modern styles. Born and raised in Seattle, she attended the Cornish Preparatory Dance School, privately trained with Stephanie Saland, and later danced in a small program led by Deborah Hadley in ballet until she left the Seattle area to attend NYU Tisch Dance.

 

She graduated in 2022 with a B.F.A. in contemporary dance and went on to get a training certificate with the Limón Trainee program the following year. She’s worked with City Dance NY, various photographers as a model/movement artist, and as a performer with Bruised Pear Dance Project; a dance collective she founded with her close collaborators in early 2025.

 

She loves performing and is constantly looking to share her artistry in whatever project dance takes her next!

MIRAI SHINDE

Mirai Shinde (Cortlandt Manor, NY) began her dance training at the University of Michigan graduating summa cum laude with a BA in Music. After graduating, she continued studying modern and contemporary styles at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and the José Limón Institute.

 

Over the last few years she has danced with the Limón Dance Company as a second company member, Brooklyn Motion Capture, and The Why Collective, among others.

 

She is also a classically-trained operatic soprano of almost two decades, and she constantly seeks ways to enrich her movement expression with her musical experience.

KRISTI ANN

KRISTI ANN SCHOPFER began her dance training in New Jersey at Dance World Academy and R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dance), later touring the east coast and on Carnival Cruise Lines. Kristi Ann received her BFA in Dance at SUNY Brockport, where she met Rebecca Sproul Gushue, dancing for Gushue Moving Arts from 2007-2017.

 

She worked with Barkin/Selissen Project (NYC) as a touring performing artist from 2012-2019. Kristi Ann has recently worked with Nanm Dance, Janis Brenner, Kate Griffler, as well as Matheny Arts Access; providing individuals with disabilities access to creative expression.

 

She has been an Artist with The DynamitExperience (since 2019) and 3rd Law Dance/Theater (since 2021). Kristi Ann is honored to be included in the Metamorphosis company and its generous group of artists.

NADIA BENES

Nadia Benes is a ballet, modern, and contemporary artist based in NYC.  A Northern California native, following a decade of classical ballet training she completed two years as a Sacramento Ballet trainee.  In 2022, she moved to NYC and earned a Limon trainee certification

 

Since then, she has performed and created across the city in a plethora of collaborations, including full-length ballets, dance films, assistant-choreographing, visual art collaborations, and music videos for Nell Bryden and Killgurls. In collaboration with cellist Daniel Weitz, the duo presented co-improvisational duets across NYC parks, the gallery opening of The BLANC, and Beacon New Music Festival in Boston.  With choreographer Sarah Marazzi-Sassoon, she attended a residency at Kaatsbaan and performed in a full-length show at 100 Grand. â€‹In 2023, Nadia formed Bruised Pear Dance Project with Olivia Kleven and Emma Hansen, having since presented work at festivals across the city.

​

As a member of Metamorphosis Dance Company, she has performed work by Allana Loraine at Triskelion and American Dance Guild.

DANIELLE GOODMAN

Danielle Goodman graduated with a BFA in dance from University of Arizona. Since moving to New York, she has worked with Limon2, Caterina Rago Dance Company, Lydia Johnson Dance Company, Swan and Wolf Dance Company, Cara Marguerite Dance Collective, and Metamorphosis Dance Collective.

​

She has also appeared as a background dancer for the short film ‘Dreamscapes’ and the dance film ‘Ancestral Shadows’ as a lead dancer. She has performed works by Krystyna Resavy, Devin Richey, Omar Roman De Jesus, and William Carlos Angulo.

​

She is excited for the Metamorphosis inaugural season!
